Just Mortgages opens nomination for leadership programme

National brokerage Just Mortgages has opened nominations for its staff leadership programme designed to find and develop future leaders within the brokerage’s employed division.

The programme enables managers within the division to nominate suitable candidates who have the skills and aspiration to progress within the business. Successful candidates are then enrolled on to a comprehensive training and mentoring programme to not only support them in their current role, but in developing skills to support their career progression.

Across three modules, the programme covers topics such as time management, problem solving and conversation skills, as well as leadership qualities and transferable skills.

Meanwhile, one module provides a deeper understanding of Just Mortgages, the needs of the business and wider opportunities in other divisions and business functions.

The programme highlights opportunities in learning and development, compliance, administration and marketing where advisers can utilise their skills and progress their career.

It also provides a route to management as a divisional sales director.

The initiative operates alongside Spicerhaart’s company-wide leadership programme and joins a full suite of training and support curated by Just Mortgage’s very own learning and development team.

The leadership programme is led by Greg Smith, senior trainer for the employed division in the Just Mortgages L&D team.

“Learning and development plays a critical role in the ongoing success of any business. The aim of this new programme is to match those who aspire to progress within the business with the necessary training, mentoring and knowledge. We are really excited to open nominations for what we hope will be a real career event for advisers and a launching pad to make informed decisions on their future,” said Smith.

Spicerhaart and Just Mortgages chief executive John Phillips added: “Just Mortgages has always been committed to investing in our own talented team and recruiting from within. This new programme extends that commitment and puts the blueprint in place for advisers to develop skills and take that next step should they wish. It is a great addition to our extensive learning and development offering which is available across the entire business and at every level.”
