Barclays Mortgages is launching a pair of two-year remortgage products at 1.49 and 1.59 per cent tomorrow.

The first is a 1.49 per cent ‘great escape’ fixed remortgage at 60 per cent LTV for loans from £50,000 to £500,000.

The second is a 1.59 per cent fixed remortgage at 75 per cent LTV for loans up to £500,000.

The lender is also making rate cuts to products including its EMC reward range.

These include cuts of 0.45 per cent on the lender’s two-year fixed at 60 per cent LTV with no fee, now 1.49 per cent.

Barclays is also reducing the range’s two-year fixed rate at 75 per cent LTV by 0.38 per cent to 1.59 per cent.

Barclays Mortgages director Craig Calder says: “We are pleased to confirm the launch of these new products, which, coupled with the rate reductions that we are making, will further enhance our already competitive mortgage product range.”
