Sesame’s John Cupis named Openwork mortgage director

Sesame mortgages managing director John Cupis is to join Openwork as mortgage director.

Sesame announced earlier today that Cupis would be leaving as part of a management shake-up.

The appointment completes Openwork’s new management team after it restructured the business into three business units – wealth, mortgage and protection – with a director for each.

Former Ascentric sales and marketing director Mike Morrow heads up the wealth division, and Pat McKenna is director of the protection business Owl Financial.

Openwork chief executive Mark Duckworth says: “We are thrilled that John has agreed to join Openwork during this extremely exciting period for the business.

“John’s experience, expertise and commercial acumen are second to none and his arrival is a major signal of Openwork’s intentions in the UK mortgage market.

“With directors now appointed to run all three business units, we are well positioned to develop our distribution proposition and increase our overall profitability from its very solid base.”

This is a seriously good acquisition, with John Cupis and Paul Shearman leading the Mortgage proposition at Openwork I can see the network growing further acquiring brokers from both the DA and AR world.
